Funeral services with Military Honors for Jessie "Pops" Jacobs, 80, of Corinth, MS are set for Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 2:30pm at Magnolia Funeral Home - SOUTH on HWY 45 South with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 5pm-8pm and Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 12:30pm until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home - SOUTH on HWY 45 SOUTH. Bro. Brent McMinn will officiate the service. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.  Born July 6, 1942 in Water Valley, MS. , Jessie passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a retired machinist and of the Baptist faith. He was a U. S. Army Veteran.  Jessie loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of his favorite pass times were listening to Bluegrass music, bowling, working crossword puzzles and anything to do with the St. Lois Cardinals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jessie was one of the kindest souls on this planet, he was a gentle giving man, who worked tirelessly for his family. He faced every life challenge with admirable strength and courage. Those left to cherish Jessie's memory include his son, Charles "Bobo" Jacobs (Christy); daughter, Darla Dixon (Jackie); 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Jacobs, Roger Jacobs (Pat), Randy Jacobs (Glenda) and Cecil Jacobs (Jewell); sisters, Helen Green (Mike) and Glenda Galbreath; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Carter Jacobs; son, J. J. Jacobs; father, Charlie Jacobs; mother, Lottie Jacobs; and his brother, Donnie Jacobs. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Magnolia Funeral Home for expenses. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jessie Jacobs.
