Jerry William Melton

A Celebration of Life Service for Jerry Melton, 69 of Glen, MS, will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Williams Cemetery.  Bro. Dyer Harbor and Dr. Leonard Pratt will officiate the service.   Visitation will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mr. Melton passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.  He was born September 15, 1953 in Flint, Michigan to William Junior Melton and Thelma Mae Bishop Melton.  He was an automobile mechanic and a volunteer fire fighter for the Glen Fire Department for 15 years.  He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and playing the drums.  He loved hanging out with his grandchildren.  Jerry is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanda Melton;  his daughter, Michelle Martin (Joshua); 2 grandchildren, Skyler Martin and Jasper Martin; his sister, Karen Barber (Rick); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Junior Melton and his mother, Thelma Mae Bishop Melton.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jerry Melton.
