Jerry Butler

 A Celebration of Life service for Jerry Butler, 74 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, December 26, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Oaks Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2022 from 12:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Bro. Mickey Trammel will officiate the service.  Mr. Butler passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN.  He was born March 20, 1948 in Corinth, MS to Everette Butler and Dale Bumpas Butler.  He retired from Kimberly Clark after 25 years of service and was of the Christian faith.  He loved playing golf, watching westerns and riding golf carts.  Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Butler; his sons, Tim Butler and wife Kim; Michael Butler and Jamie Butler and wife Amber; his daughter, Jessica Porterfield (Tom Armstrong); twelve grandchildren, Ragen Woodruff and husband Devin, Tyler Butler, Avery Butler, Macy Butler, Anna Claire Butler, Abe Butler, Ethan Porterfield, Andy Butler, Cheyenne Butler, Conner Butler, Chris Butler and Lily Porterfield; one great grandchild, Jack Wyatt Woodruff; his sister, Judy Austin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Everette Butler; his mother, Dale Dillingham (Hillie) and his sister, Linda Vanderford.  Pallbearers will be Joel Prince, Dennis Hogan, Ricky Martin, Ernest Cole, Brandon Dickerson and Derrick Vanderford.  Honorary pallbearer will be Ricky Parker.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jerry Butler.
