Jeanne Perkins Buntin passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the home of her parents at the age of 40.
Jeanne was born July 31, 1970 in Opelika, Al to Dr. Jim and Mrs. Kay Emerson Perkins. Jeanne loved her family and friends, especially her children. She loved teaching, she loved her students and they loved her. She enjoyed football and was a BIG Auburn Tigers fan.She was an avid reader who also enjoyed listening to George Strait. Jeanne was an animal lover who enjoyed helping her father in his clinic.
She is survived by her parents: Dr. Jim and Mrs. Kay Emerson Perkins – Iuka, MS
Daughters: Elizabeth Kay Perkins, Megan Alyssa Perkins and Morgan Alana Perkins all of Iuka, MS
Sisters: Julee Maxcy and husband Kevin – Corinth, MS; Jayme Davis and husband Teddy – Iuka, MS;
Jessica Headrick and husband Josh – Corinth, MS
Brothers: Steven Perkins and wife Christy – Selmer, TN; Logan Perkins – Iuka

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Roy and Willie Mae Perkins and her maternal grandparents: W.W.(Wimpy) and Leon Emerson.
