Jay Jerrolds, 69, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. He was born in Wayne County, TN on July 24, 1950 to the late Jimmy and Jesse Cole Jerrolds. Jay retired after 20 years of service as a chief engineer on a tow boat with Alter Barge Lines in Paducah, KY. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Those left to honor Jay’s memory include his son: Jeff Jerrolds and wife Lesia of Cherokee, AL; his grandchildren: Jefawna Jerrolds and Jensen Jerrolds; his brothers: Jim Jerrolds, Jr., Joseph Jerrolds, and Jeffrey Jerrolds all of Savannah, TN; his sisters: Joyce Holliman of Boone, NC, Juanita Elmore of Halls, TN, and Jacqueline Kluver of Omaha, NE; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: James Jerrolds, Joel Jerrolds, Jesse Jerrolds, and Jerry Jerrolds; and by his sisters: Janis Elbrink and Janet Jerrolds.
