Janie De Leon Garcia

Janie De Leon Garcia passed away Friday, September 24, 2010 at Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, TN at the age of 91. She was born March 13, 1919 in Sugarland, TX to the late Thomas and Isabel De Leon. She married Albert Garcia December 23, 1943. She was a war bride who loved to cook, sew and do embroidery. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great grandson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Counce, TN. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband of 66 years: Albert Garcia – Counce, TN; Sons: Kenneth Albert Garcia – Selmer, TN; Richard Garcia and wife Debbie – Corinth, MS; 2 Grandchildren: Allie Kate Garcia- Corinth, MS; Bryson Garcia – Corinth, MS; 1 Great Grandson: Tanner Garcia;6 Nieces and other Relatives and a host of friends. She was wecomed to heaven by her father: Thomas De Leon; mother: Isabel De Leon and her sister: Tommie Gonzales. Visitation will be Monday, September 27, 2010 from 5:00PM- 8:00PM and Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 10:00AM till service time at First Baptist Church – Counce, TN. Services will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010 @ 11:00AM at First Baptist Church in Counce, TN. Bro. Paul Childers will officiate and burial will follow at Corinth National Cemetery.
