Jamie Lou Jackson, 79, of Walnut, MS, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at her residence. She was born in Chalybeate, MS on March 27, 1936 to the late Robert and Dora (Blackwell) Hobson and graduated from Shady Grove High School in Ripley, MS. After high school, Jamie began work at Dover Elevator (later ThyssenKrupp) as an assembler, where her passion for her work was exhibited in her performance. Ms. Jackson had a vivacious love for life which she showed in her deep love for all things living. From flowers to animals, there was no living thing she would not care for. Most of all, Jamie loved her family; both natural and her church family at Theo Church of Christ. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 and from 1 PM till service time Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Jamie's life will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Minister Ron Adams and Bro. Mickey Trammel. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery in Walnut, MS. Pallbearers include Bobby Jackson, Jimmy Gunn, Richard Malone, James Orr, Michael McGough, Daniel Jones. Those left to honor Jamie's memory include her daughter: Sharon Denise Jackson Sharkey of Walnut, MS; her granddaughter: Mary Joanna Sharkey; nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years: John Jackson; an infant daughter: Brenda Carol Jackson; her brother: Robert Lee Hobson, Jr.; and a sister: Peggy Holt.
