Funeral services for James Unseld Thomason are set for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Jerry Childs, Bro. Keith Mosher, Bro. Gary McDade and Bro. Duane Estill officiating. Burial will be in Chapman Cemetery in Tippah County, MS. Mr. Thomason died on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Tippah County Hospital. He was born July 1, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant. TN. He was a retired Painter for Southern Painting Company out of Memphis, TN. Mr. Thomason was an U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Kossuth Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nina Mae Sanders Thomason of Corinth, MS; his sons, Ed Thomason and wife Linda of New Madrid, MO. and Jim Thomason and wife Vicky of Brighton, TN: his daughter, Pat Wade and husband Tommy of Kossuth, MS; 9 grandchildren, Melanie Baxter and husband Ken of Humphreys, MO., Melinda Braddock and husband Danny of Germantown, TN., Tom Wade and wife Alison of Kossuth, MS., Medidith Newman and husband Bo of Corinth, MS., Stephanie Dowdy and husband Greg of Cape Girardeau, MO., Michelle Gilmer and husband Matt of Sikeston, MO., James Thomason of Murfreesboro, TN., Ashley Gray and husband Joel of Aiken , SC., and Rhonda Bellah and husband John of Oklahoma City, OK.; 19 great grandchildren; his brothers, Chesley Thomason of Columbia, TN. and Kenneth Thomason and wife Carolyn of Arlington, TN.; his sister, Jeanette Cole of Columbia, TN.; a special caregiver, Mitch Dawson; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Edd and Elsie Holbert Thomason. Pallbearers will be Tom Wade, James Thomason, Frank Adair, Mitch Dawson, Mike Dawson and James Weeks. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons-in-law and his great grandson. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 9:00a.m. until service time at 10:30a.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home.
