A Celebration of Life service for James Edward Smith, 73 of Guys, TN, will be Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Indian Springs Cemetery in Glen, MS. Bro. James Voyles will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. He was born February 11, 1946 in Haleyville, AL to Robert McKinley Smith and Mary Frances Candia Smith. James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Ann Hurley Smith of Guys, TN; his sons, Steven James Smith of Savannah, TN and Shane Anthony Smith of Fort Collins, CO; his daughters, Frances Lynn Richardson Smith of Glen, MS, Patricia Lynn Smith of Columbia, TN and Patty Jean Provence of Savannah, TN; 10 grandchildren, Samantha Kiddy Hurst (T. J.), Philip Richardson, Jaden Smith, Lauren Smith, Daryl Smith, Chasity Alley, Christopher Martin, Hannah Smith, Mariah Provence and Isabella Provence; 2 great grandchildren, Khloe Hurst and Tatum Hurst; his mother, Mary Frances Candia Smith of Athens, TN; his brother, Donnie Smith of Savannah, TN; his sisters, Teresa Avery (John) of Athens, TN and Judy Turner (Euwell) of Biloxi, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert McKinley Smith and his brothers, Terry Smith, Robert Smith and Gary Smith. Pallbearers will be Daryl Smith, Philip Richardson, Dallas Moss, Dennis Moss, Greg Moss and Brannon Blackwell. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. James Edward Smith.
