James Loyd "Plugit" Mullins

A Celebration of Life service for James Loyd "Plugit" Mullins, 77 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Merl Dixon and Rodney Swindle will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 5:00 P M to 8:30 P M and Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Mullins passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born May 23, 1941 in Memphis, TN to Luna Calvin Mullins and Cora Gertrude Sharp Mullins. He was the owner of Corinth Fish and Bait for 40 years and was of the Baptist faith. Loyd is survived by his son, James Micheal Mullins (Ruby) of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Teresa Jones (James) of Corinth, MS; 14 grandchildren, James Joshua Jones (Lauren) Matthew Tyler Jones (Morgan), Sarry-Ann Morgan Jones, Bryan Glenn Shirley, Cody Alan Shirley (Tiffany), Dakota Jo Haworth (Joel), Erica Elaine Mullins (Jason), Austin Staton, Brandy Mullins Griffin, Sandy Burkhalter, Debbie Lee, Shelia Alstatt (Kevin) Keith Ellis Orman, Jr. (Tiffany) and Kimberly Janett Lewis (Justin); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 1/2 years, Annie Pearl Mullins; his father, Luna Calvin Mullins; his mother, Cora Gertrude Sharp Mullins; his brothers, Floyd Mullins and Roy Lee Mullins and his sister, Lucille Shirley. Pall bearers will be James Joshua Jones, Matthew Tyler Jones, Bryan Glenn Shirley, Cody Alan Shirley, Keith Ellis Orman, Jr., Dustin Lee Jones, David Lynn Edwards, Warren L. Bascomb, Jr. and Wayne Duncan. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of James Loyd "Plugit" Mullins.
