James Harold Mitchell

A Celebration of Life Service for Harold Mitchell, 76 of Corinth, MS, will be Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel on 45 South with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. Bro. Tim Edwards will officiate the service. Mr. Mitchell passed away Monday, January 13, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1948 in Tyronza, Arkansas to Douglas Mitchell and Annie Lou Carmon Mitchell. He was of the Christian faith and served in the National Guard. Before his retirement he was a small engine mechanic and was employed by Biggers Ace Hardware. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his horses and dogs. He loved his grandchildren and going to Jacks to spend time with his friends. Harold is survived by his daughters, Stacy Michael (Scotty) and Kristy Blackburn (Clark); 3 grandchildren, Hunter Scott Michael (Danielle), Kelsea Julen (George) and Cheyenne Martin; 5 great grandchildren, Bentley Kay Michael, Austin Julen, Fischer Scott Michael, Avery James Michael and Wyatt Scott Julen; his brother, Gerald Mitchell (Martha); his sister, Doris Doles; his niece, Elaine Dildy; his nephew, Anthony Mitchell (Vickie) other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Wanda Gilliland Mitchell; his father, Douglas Mitchell; his mother, Annie Lou Carmon Mitchell and his brother, Joel Mitchell. Pallbearers will be Simmie Phillips, Donnie Shadburn, Jason Cox, Anthony Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell and Ronnie Morris. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Harold Mitchell.
