James Edward Mansel, 87, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Country Cottage in Corinth. He was born in Tula, MS on April 28, 1932 to the late Daniel Lewis Mansel and Gracie Leath Mansel and was a US Army Veteran after the Korean Conflict. James retired with 29 years of service with Tyrone/ Dana Corporation as a machinist. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 11 am till service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of James’ life with military honors will be held at 2 pm Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Greg Woodruff. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor James’ memory include his sons: James H. “Jimmy” Mansel of Corinth and Gary L. Mansel and wife Yolanda of Michie, TN; his grandson: Ben Mansel; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years: Martha Jean Mansel; his brothers: Robert Lewis “Bob” Mansel (Lynn), John William Mansel (Charlotte), and infant brother: Aubrey Lee Mansel; his sister: Mary Martha Nails (Homer).
