James Thomas Dickerson

Funeral services for James "Jim" Dickerson, 68, of Counce, TN. are set for Monday, May 29, 2017 at 1:00pm at New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce, TN with burial in White Sulphur Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, May 29, 2017 from 11am until service time at the church. Jim passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born March 19, 1949 in Hardin County, TN , he was a retired steel worker for Tenaris Steel with 40 years experience. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He is survived by his son, Jimbo Dickerson and wife Kimberly - Michie, TN; daughter, Cissy Murphy and husband Johnny Ray- Savannah, TN; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Dickerson, Kendall Dickerson, Chloe Dickerson, Zackary Murphy and Hayden Murphy; his 1st wife and caretaker, Gwen Dickerson - Counce, TN.; brother, O'Neil Dickerson and wife Patricia - Counce, TN.; sister, Judy Turpin- Rockwood, TN ; other relatives and a host of friends. Jim is preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Lou Dickerson; father, Ernest Dickerson; mother, Rachel Jenkins and husband Sanford and two sisters, Bonnie Russell and Sue Headrick. Bro. Paul Childers will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Steven Logan, Johnny Ray Murphy, Hayden Murphy, Clarence Hardeman, Ricky Welch and Bryan Dickerson.
