James "Jim" Samuel Daughtry

Funeral services for James "Jim" Samuel Daughtry, 63, of Rienzi, MS, are set for Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 1:00pm until service time at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in Wheeler Grove Cemetery. Born August 4, 1952, he was office manager for Southeastern Ag Transportation. He was also a retired manager for Walmart with 15 years of service. Mr. Daughtry was a member of Vertical Church and he loved the Lord and his family. He took care of everyone. Mr. Daughtry loved his wife unconditionally. He enjoyed fishing ,woodworking and taking care of his animals. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane Morton Daughtry of Rienzi; two sons, Joseph Daughtry and wife Whitley of Madison, MS, and Matthew Daughtry of Rienzi, MS. ; two daughters, Samantha Taylor and husband Bart of Corinth, MS and Lee Bullock and husband Tye of Montgomery, AL, eleven grandchildren, Jamie Senn, Nikki Bullock, Kellan Huggins, Dylan Taylor, Jay Taylor, Mary Taylor, Virginia Taylor, Russ Clifton, Kasey Jade Johnsey, Weston Daughtry and one on the way, Parker Daughtry; one great granddaughter, Zelda Senn; one brother, Freddy Daughtry and wife Ferris of Troy, AL; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Daughtry and his mother, Doris Hughes Daughtry. Pallbearers will be Dylan Taylor, Jay Taylor, Jae Morton, Carroll Morton, Ray Morton, Tye Buillock, Matthew Corbin and Derrick Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Russ Daughtry. Bro. Shane Evetts, Bro. Ray Bennett and Dr. Kara Blackard will officiate the service. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to provide the arrangements for Mr. James "Jim" Samuel Daughtry.
