James R. Cummings, 66, of Ramer, TN, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Tennova Health CARE in Jackson, TN. Mr. Cummings was born May 31, 1950 to the late Johnnie B. Cummings and Mary Ethel Ashcraft Cummings in Corinth, MS. He worked many years in the painting industry and was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church. A celebration of life service is set for 2:00pm Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5:00pm till 9:00pm and Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Leroy Brown and Bro. Joey Johnson will officiate the service. Those left to hold Mr. Cummings in memory include his wife of 33 years, Doris Cummings of Ramer, TN; son, Anthony Dwight Cummings of Corinth; daughters, Viola Arlene Cummings and husband Marcus of Corinth MS; Diana Renee’ Cummings Hauser of Corinth, MS; Deara Michelle Cummings of Ramer, TN; 8 grandchildren, Breana Leigh Cummings, Bryson Gentry Cummings, Hannah Lynn Waldon, Hunter Alex Waldon, James Isaac Waldon, Jacob Tyler Waldon, Adalyn Ann Hauser, Joseph Abel Hauser; 2 great-grandchildren, Gage Rickman and Dakota Rickman; brothers, Gene Cummings wife Shirley of Camden, TN; Henry Cummings wife Debbie of Knoxville, TN; Onnie Cummings of Corinth; Lonnie Cummings wife Janice of Corinth; Johnny Cummings of Kossuth; sisters, Mary Sanders of Kossuth; Minnie Bradley of Corinth; Judy Bradley husband Randy of Guys, TN; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alonzo Cummings; and 2sisters, Emma Jean Cornelius and Ruby Wilbanks.
