James "Jim" Cole

James Louis "Jim" Cole, 70, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Memphis, TN on July 8, 1945 to the late John Lewis and Wilma Crislip Cole and graduated from Germantown High School. Jim was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War. He retired after 34 years with US Airways and was a member of Pickwick Moose Lodge #2691, the VFW Post 3962 in Corinth, MS and Pickwick United Methodist Church in Pickwick, TN. Jim enjoyed volunteering at the Tishomingo County Archives and History Museum and was a diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and University of Memphis basketball and football. A memorial gathering of family and friends celebrating Jim's life will be held from 11 AM till service time at 1 PM, Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Pickwick United Methodist officiated by Rev. Ray Chandler. Interment will follow in Corinth National Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is caring for the family. Those left to honor Jim's memory include his wife of 47 years: Sandy Cole of Iuka, MS; his son: Jesse Cole of Nashville, TN; several nieces, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
