James "Jimmy" William Childers

James “Jimmy” William Childers, of Rienzi, MS, passed away on Friday, September 28 , 2018. He was born on December 18, 1956 to the late William “Bill” Oscar Childers and Emma Elizabeth George Childers and graduated from Biggersville High School in 1975. Jimmy retired after 29 years with Caterpillar as transportation manager. He enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles and airplanes. Jimmy will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. A gathering of family and friends is scheduled from 3-5 pm Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. Interment will be in Johns Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Jimmy’s memory include his wife: Mary Jane Labang Childers of Rienzi; his daughters: Vicky Darlene Childers of Atlanta, GA and Tina Diane Childers Mahoney (Robert) of Collierville, TN; his step-children: Janelle Faith Sanchez, Felix Nathaniel Sanchez, Fitzgerald Sanchez, and Fredrick Paul Sanchez all of the Philippines; his grandchildren: Isabella Grace Franco, Rhyse Alexander Franco, Emma Claire Franzen, Wesley Carl Franzen, Shelby Laurel Ann Mahoney Coley, Ethan Robert Mahoney, and Hunter Cole Mahoney; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Emma George Childers; his sister: Clara Mae Childers Bradford; and his brother: Harold Allen Childers.
