Private family funeral services for James "Jimmy" Alvis Bryant, 74 of Corinth are set for Thursday, January 28, 2021 at West Ripley Baptist Church in Ripley, MS with interment and graveside service to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Ripley. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral home - East Chapel. Bro. Bud Wheatley will officiate the service. Born January 14, 1947 in Ripley, MS, Jimmy passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a retired truck driver for Waste Management. Before he worked for Waste Management he worked in the service department at Coca-Cola Bottling Company and was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy is survived by his son, James Bryant and wife Jamie of Corinth; 4 grandchildren, Brandy Moreland and husband Matthew, Heather Kuykendall, Tyler Bryant and Lane Bryant; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Gary Bryant and wife Pam, Frank Bryant and wife Joyce and Michael Wayne Bryant and wife Kathy all of Ripley, MS; sisters, Betty Wheatley of Wheeler, MS, Peggy Wilson and husband Ronnie of Blue Mountain, MS, Martha Crum and husband Adam of Myrtle, MS and Kathy Pannell and husband Ricky of Ripley; other relatives and a host of friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Mack Q. Bryant; mother, Frances Windham Bryant; brothers, Jerry Bryant, Ira Bryant and Roger Dale Bryant and his sister, Katie Bryant. Serving as pallbearers will be David Wheatley, Richard Bryant, Jr. Bryant, Ron Wilson, Jordan Bryant and Jordan Wheatley.
