Jack K. Whitten, Sr., 86 of Corinth, MS passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at his home. Graveside services with Military Honors are set for Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1:00pm at Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Whitten was born July 8, 1930 in Florence, Al to the late L.L. Whitten and Beulah Mae Kimbrough Whitten . He was an insurance salesperson and a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Jack was an U. S. Marine veteran. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cathy Whitten of Corinth; son ,Jack Rocky Whitten, Jr. of Corinth; daughter, Tina Lynn Whitten Deaton Coleman and husband Kevin of Selmer, TN; 6 grandchildren, Mary Deaton Holcomb and husband Dustin, Rusty Whitten and wife Sara, Clark Whitten and wife Andrea, Jim Deaton, Margie Coleman and Clint Coleman; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Smith of Florence, AL; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bill Whitten and wife Cleo, Wilburn Whitten and wife Jo and L.L. Whitten, Jr. and sisters, Lorene Dhority and husband Loren and Dorothy Cox. Bro.
