Jack Daniel Luther

A Celebration of Life service for Jack Daniel Luther, 85 of Golden, MS, will be Monday, September 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home-East Chapel with interment to follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Bro. Barry Holcomb will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday, September 21, 2020 from 1:00 PM until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home-East. Mr. Luther passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Southern Magnolia in Belmont, MS. He was born December 6, 1934 in Sulligent, AL to Harvey Harrison Luther and Biddie Cunningham Luther Jenkins. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Belmont, MS. He was a truck driver and owned Jacks Diesel Service in Corinth, MS. He loved fishing, hunting and raising his cows. He was a member of Local IBEW and enjoyed traveling and going to gospel singings. Jack is survived by his sons, Michael Barnes (Jamie) of Baldwyn, MS, Bobby Luther (Dorinda) of Belmont, MS, Daniel Luther (Bonnie) of Fulton, MS and Billy Luther of Fulton, MS; his daughter, Linda Hutchenson (Ricky) of Fulton, MS; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Richard Luther of Corinth, MS, Morris Luther (Evelyn) of Fayette, AL and Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Luther of Bethel Springs, TN; his sister, Doris Henderson of Evansville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Jean Malone Luther; his daughter, Elisa Gail Barnes; his father, Harvey Harrison Luther; his mother, Biddie Cunningham Luther Jenkins; his brothers, Theron Luther and Robert Luther and his sister, Carolyn Kiddy. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Jack Daniel Luther.
