Iris Meldon Terry Funeral services for Iris Meldon Terry are set for 2 pm on Wednesday, November, 20, 2013 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Dr. Randy Bostick officiating. Interment will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Terry passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at Magnolia Regional Health Center after a brief illness. She was born December 23, 1920 to Roland Meldon and Hannah Wynn Meldon in London, England. She attended Pittman’s College in England. She served as a radio operator in the British Air Force during World War II. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Pipkin and son-in-law Jimmy of Hickory Flat, MS., her son Reece Terry and daughter-in-law Sharon of Corinth, MS. Two grandchildren, Christopher and LeeAnn Terry and one great grandchild, Evan Terry all of Corinth, MS and her caregiver Ellen Maness. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. C. Terry, parents, 3 sisters and a brother. Mrs.Terry was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. Her Sunday School Class, Ruth Ann Phillips’ Women’s Class III will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home.
