Funeral services for Mavis Inez Essary, 83, of Corinth are set for 2 pm ,Tuesday, June 6 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial at Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 5 from 5 - 9 pm and Tuesday, June 6 from 1 pm until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Born July 24, 1933 in Tippah County, MS and graduating from Farmington High School in 1952, she lived her life as a homemaker taking care of her four children and many grandchildren. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and served as church secretary for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flower garden. Since she loved flowers, her family encourages friends and family to wear floral attire for the funeral. Survivors include : Two sons: Ronnie Essary (Becky Johnson) and Gary Essary (Kathy), both of Corinth; two daughters: Deborah Turner (Mike) of Sugar Land, Texas and Deanna Taylor (Terry) of Needville, TX; one brother: Bobby Warren of Corinth; 11 grandchildren: Kelly Essary of St. Petersburg, FL, Geana Talley (Dustin) of Corinth, Holley Slaughter (Bob) of Corinth, Chessica Harville (Tech Sgt. Joshua) of Bossier City, LA, Justin Essary (Katie) of Boulder, CO, Lindsey Taylor of Richmond, TX, Shanna Taylor Wright (Ben) of Needville, TX, Blake Taylor (Christina) of Needville, TX, Russell Taylor (Britnee) of Huntsville, TX, Rachael Turner of Nashville, TN and David Turner of Sugar Land, TX; 11 great-grandchildren: Maggie Rushing, Laurie Rushing, Cole Talley, Luke Talley, RB Slaughter, Sydney Slaughter, Lannah Slaughter, Parker Slaughter, Asher Harville, Eric Essary, Kyla Essary, and Mira Wright; her brother-in-law: Wayne Glidewell; and caregiver: Marilyn Albright. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Bobby Eugene Essary, her parents: William Melvin Warren and Cora Tatum Warren, her brother: Verlon Warren and sister: Christine Warren Glidewell. Pall Bearers include Steve Glidewell, Randy Allen, Ricky Essary, Chris Essary, Jeff Patterson, John Hardin, Greg Bullard, Harold Bullard, and Clay Hughes. Rev. Merl Dixon and Bro.
