Juard Houston Farris, 83, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at his residence in Glen, MS. He was born on October 31, 1934, in Tishomingo County, to his parents, Wilmer Ray Farris and Ruby Stockton Farris. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Glendale Baptist Church, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Jon Haines. Burial will follow at Glendale Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, starting at Noon and lasting until service time at Glendale Baptist Church. Houston was employed by Dana/Tyrone and retired after many years of service. He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. He loved farming and everything about it. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his Son, Jackie Farris, Two Grandchildren: Brandy Smith and husband Derek, and Emi Farris; One Great-Grandson: Jaxon Smith; Brother: Kenneth Farris; Special Brother-In-Law: Milton Brown; Sisters: Rubine Hill, Nelda Baal, Judy Rowell and Hilda Perocchi; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Riley Mask, John Mask, Brian Branch, Jaxon Smith, Derek Smith, and Joey Brown. He was preceded in death by his Wife of 64 years, Mary Jo Farris; Father: Wilmer Ray Farris; Mother: Ruby Marranda Stockton Farris; Brothers: John Farris and Ray Farris; and Sister: Maxine Perkins.
