Horace Dalton Newcomb

A Celebration of Life Service for Horace Dalton Newcomb, 71 of Corinth, MS, will be  Friday, May 27, 2022 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.  Bro. Dwayne Kirk will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2022 from 11:30 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Mr. Newcomb passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Jackson Madison County Hospital in Jackson, TN.  He was born May 4, 1951 in Corinth, MS to Winston Buford Newcomb, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Bain Newcomb.  He was a security guard at Corinthian Furniture and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Pentecostal Church.  He served his country in the USAF.  Horace is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wanda Ann Cook Newcomb; his son Robert Dalton Newcomb; his brother, W.E. Newcomb (Jennie); other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Winston Buford Newcomb, Sr; his mother, Ruthie Mae Main Newcomb; his brothers, Winston Newcomb, Jr, Rufford Newcomb and Orlander Newcomb; his sisters, Jewel Stevens, Ruby Strickland, Christine Wilmon and Mary Strickland and sister-in-Law, Della Newcomb.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Glover, Joe Sanders, Gene Sanders, Curtis Brawner, Daryl Hill and Ernie Mitchell.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Horace Dalton Newcomb.
