Hershel Patrick

A Celebration of Life service for Hershel Patrick, 66 of Iuka, MS, will be Monday, September 14, 2020 at 2:00 P M at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Iuka, MS with interment to follow at Patrick Family Cemetery in Glen, MS. Masks and social distancing will be required. Bro. Malcolm Garrett will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M and Monday, September 14, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until service time at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Patrick passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born December 16, 1953 in Alcorn County, MS to Walter Patrick and Rosa Mathis Patrick. He was a logger and was of the Baptist faith. Hershel is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bonnie Patrick of Iuka, MS; his daughter, Shannon Phumphrey and husband Scott of Mooreville, MS; 3 grandchildren, Addison, Luke and Logan; his sisters, Betty Crum of Corinth, MS and Joan Peters of Glen, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Patrick; his mother, Rosa Patrick Lindsey; his brothers, Clayton Patrick, Harold Patrick and Tony Patrick and his sisters, Rosa Lee Grimes, Sarah Yarber and Sible Null. Pallbearers will be Kevin Ford, Ellis Long, Tyler Peters, Roger Winston, Raphael Benitez and Mike Hensley. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Hershel Patrick.
