Hershel McDuffy

A Celebration of Life service for Hershel McDuffy, 88 of Iuka, MS, will be Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Iuka, MS. Bro. Malcolm Garrett will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Friday, June 29, 2018 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. McDuffy was born July 3, 1929 in Tishomingo County, MS to James Alfred and Virtie Mae Gray McDuffy. He passed away June 26, 2018 at his residence in Iuka, MS. He was of the Church of Christ faith and was a member of Kendrick Road Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Hershel is survived by his sons, Malcolm McDuffy and wife Rhonda of Iuka, MS and Jeff McDuffy and wife Jackie of Iuka, MS; his daughter, Nellie Ruth Bugg and husband Dorvell of Iuka, MS; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Sharp, Jeremy McDuffy, Jason McDuffy, Brandon McDuffy, Jacob McDuffy, Jonathan McDuffy, Jeremiah McDuffy and Josh McDuffy; 13 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Talmage Alfred McDuffy and wife Hazel of Iuka, MS and Jackie Wallace McDuffy of Bowling Green, KY; his sister, Mamie Adams of Iuka, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Gladys Ruth Keele McDuffy; his son, Dennis McDuffy, his father, James Alfred McDuffy; his mother, Virtie Mae Gray McDuffy; his brother, James Millard McDuffy; his sisters, Christine Gray and Mertle McDuffy; sister-in-law, Wanda McDuffy and brother-in-law, Marshall Adams. Pallbearers will be Brandon McDuffy, Jason McDuffy, Jeremy McDuffy, Jacob McDuffy, Jonathan McDuffy, Joey Gray and Eugene Gray. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Hershel McDuffy.
