A Celebration of Life service for Helen Louise Peters, 95 of Glen, MS, will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home - East Chapel with interment to follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Callahan will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Peters passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her residence. She was born May 6, 1925 in Alcorn County, MS to Freed Russell and Bell Austin Russell. Helen retired as a line operator at Wurlitzer after 19 years of service. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Eastview Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and working in her yard. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Helen is survived by her sons, Wayne Peters of Corinth, MS, Sonny Peters and wife Lola of Corinth, MS and Dale Peters of Corinth, MS; her daughters, Virginia Peters of Glen, MS, Margaret Day of Corinth, MS, Bonnie Peters of Glen, MS and Mary Ann Hamm of Adamsville, TN; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Lucille Peters of Corinth, MS; her daughter-in-law, Theresa Peters of Glen, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Peters; her son, Joe Peters; 1 grandchild; her father, Freed Russell; her mother, Bell Austin Russell and her brother, James Russell. Pallbearers will be Dalton Davis, Heath Thomas, Hunter Thomas, Matthew Whittemore, Tommy Hamm, Wesley Richardson, David Peters and Bradley Woodruff.
