Corinth – Helen Little
Helen Louis Willis Little, 84, peacefully passed away March 30, 2015, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Little will be held at noon on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi, with Dr. Kara Blackard conducting the service and burial with military honors immediately following at Wheeler Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church on 21 County Road 519, Corinth, MS 38834, from 5:00-8:00 Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and one hour prior to the noon service on Thursday, April 2, 2015.
Born on Easter Sunday, April 20, 1930, in Ewing, Virginia, to David and Hila Crockett Willis, Helen enlisted in the U.S. Air Force immediately after high school graduation where she met her husband, Thurston. She and Thurston would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this October 27th. Helen was a devoted follower of Christ and walked her faith out by being committed to her marriage and her children. She was an amazing housewife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening, and serving her family. Helen was committed to her Sunday School class at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church where she was deeply loved and appreciated. She especially enjoyed playing bunko with her long-time girlfriends and summer trips to Tennessee to visit her family and friends. She was kind to everyone and never met a stranger. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include Helen’s four sons: Reggie Little and wife Ann of Corinth; Rodney Little and wife Paula of Corinth; Tony Little and wife Jennifer of Olive Branch; Trent Little and wife Haley of Corinth; and her daughter Jill Little Ford and husband Mike Ford of Madison. She was also survived by her grandchildren Grant Little, Hanna Cole, Jeni Bobo and husband Brandon, Justin Little and wife Julie, Chad Little, Ethan Little, Patton Ford, Abby Little, Crockett Ford, Colton Little, John David Little, and Eli Little; and her 12 great grandchildren Chase, Avery, Tate, Matthew, Regan, Brady, Brody, Lily, Ella, Counce and Charli; and by her sister Claudette Hall of Knoxville, Tennessee; and half-sister Betty Sue Hicks of Morristown, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thurston Little; parents David and Hila Willis of Ewing, Virginia; brother’s Kenneth Willis of Ewing, Virginia; and David C. Willis of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Grant Little, Justin Little, Chad Little, Ethan Little, Patton Ford, Crockett Ford, Colton Little, John David Little and Eli Little.
Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth will be in charge of the arrangements.
