Hazel Lorine Robbins

Hazel Lorine Flatt Robbins was born October 28, 1925 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Frank Thomas Flatt and Eliza Adelaide Mays Flatt. She was united in marriage to L.C. Robbins on August 11, 1943 who preceded her in death in the month of April 1994. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary 8 months before God called Mr. Robbins home. Mrs. Robbins was a retired garment factory worker. She was a faithful member of New Hope United Methodist Church. Mrs. Robbins departed this life at the age of 85 years 4 months and 17 days, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. She is Survived by two daughters, Geneva Smith and husband Dale of Michie, TN and Norine Cornelius and husband Norman of Guys, TN, five grandchildren: Jamie Smith, Robin Sims and husband Bub, Mandy Spears and husband Joe, Chris Cornelius, Tracy Cornelius. One granddaughter-in-law Angel Smith; five great grandchildren: Brandon Sims and wife Hannah, Brooke Sims, Logan Smith, Pearl Spears and June Spears; four great great grandchildren: Carter Sims, Hayley Sims, Eli Sims and Bella Sims; three sisters Novada Harrison and husband Bill, Loretta Robbins, Gayle Giles and husband John; one brother: Cleston Flatt and wife Hazel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Mrs. Robbins greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by one sister: Florine Robbins; two brothers: Lester Flatt and Chester Flatt: one nephew Michael Robbins. Pallbearers will be Jamie Smith, Bub Sims, Brandon Sims, Joe Spears, Larry Robbins, Roger Robbins, Chris Brayley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Smith, Bill Harrison, John Giles, Norman Cornelius Visitation for Mrs. Robbins will be Friday, February 18, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Magnolia Funeral Home in Corinth, MS and Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 11:00 am till service time at New Hope United Methodist Church, Michie, TN. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 19, 2011 @ 1:00 pm at New Hope United Methodist Church, Michie, TN Bro. David Harstin & Geneva Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
