Bro. Harold Wayne Gray, 71, of Corinth, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis,TN. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 1:30pm Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Charles Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Gray, Josh Hammock, Jay Hammock, Phil Kennedy, and Michael Kennedy. The family will recieve friends for visitation from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 and from 12:30pm until service time on Sunday. Harold was born January 28, 1945 in Flora, MS to the late Rano and Christine Dozier Gray. Bro. Gray served both in ministry and education throughout his life. He began his education career 1979 working as a school teacher for McNairy Central School. He continued his service at Rienzi School serving as teacher and principal and then principal for Alcorn Central Junior High. He concluded his education career in 2000 serving as principal at Corinth Junior High School. Bro. Gray was passionate about his ministry. His greatest joy was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. During his ministry he served as pastor of Northside Church of Christ, Acton Church of Christ and Kendrick Road Church of Christ. Those left to honor Bro. Gray's memory include his wife of 22 years, Mary Joyce Stricklin Gray of Corinth, two sons, Brian Gray and wife Julie of North Richland Hills, TX and Brent Gray and wife Kelly of Allen, TX; a step-son, Joe Wagoner; six grandchildren, Hunter Gray, Tatum Gray, Laiklyn Gray, Pryce Gray, Coleman Gray and Lauren Gray; two sisters, Brenda Hammock of Corinth and Patricia Kennedy and husband Larry of Corinth; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and host of friends. Those who welcomed him to heaven include a brother, Horace Gray; brother-in-law, Ronnie Hammock and his parents. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Harold Wayne Gray.
