Gurney Lewis Wallace

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Gurney Lewis Wallace, 74 of Corinth, MS will be Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 1:00 P M to 4:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Wallace passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born May 16, 1944 in Gate City, VA to Ransom Bishop and Rosie Wallace Gibson. He retired from Chrysler as an assembly worker after 32 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife 54 years, Alice Wallace of Corinth, MS; his sons, Lewis Wallace of Corinth, MS, Corbit Wallace of Corinth, MS and Robert Wallace (Gwendolyn)of Corinth, MS; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Ronnie Gibson (Judy) of Gate City, VA, Orbin Gibson (Tina) of Kingsport, TN, Marvin Gibson (Sandra) of Fort Blackmore, VA, Gary Gibson (Linda) of Gate City, VA and Kenny Gibson (Betty) of Cleveland, OH; his sisters, Carolyn Vermillion (Gene) of Gate City, VA, Violet Williams (Mike) of Eagle River, Alaska, Marcella Williams of Kingsport, TN, Pricilla Paloney (Pauley) of Columbia, OH, Nina Wallace of Cleveland, OH and Norma Gilliam (Jimmie) of Kingsport, VA; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Allen Wallace; his father, Ransom Bishop and his mother Rosie Gibson (Corbit).
