Greg Hopkins

Gregory Paul “Greg” Hopkins, 59, of Corinth, MS passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Hampton, VA on April 22, 1959 to Kenneth and Margaret Hopkins and graduated from Alcorn Central High School in 1978. He was employed for several years with World Color and as an engineer with the Corinth Fire Department for 19 years. Greg enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and his special grandchildren and being outdoors as much as possible. Whether he was hunting deer, fishing, fighting fires, working in his yard (or someone else’s) Greg took a lot of pride in what he did. He met with his Lord where his Lord preferred to be when he was on Earth – by the rivers and lakes of small towns, surrounded by friends. It is certain that Greg is now with his Lord in heaven, probably convincing someone to slip off and go hunting. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for 5-9 pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 and from 12 Noon until service time Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Greg's life will be held at 2 pm Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Greg’s memory includes his wife of 38 years: Patsy Parker Hopkins of Corinth; his daughter: Natalie Hopkins Kelley and husband Shawn of Corinth; his son: Chris Hopkins and wife Anita of Middleton, TN; his parents: Kenneth and Margaret S. Hopkins of Farmington, MS; his brothers: Mike Hopkins and wife Cindy, James Hopkins and wife Jennie, and Tracy Hopkins and wife Karen all of Corinth; 3 grandchildren: Zoe LeRue Kelley, Jenise Robinson, and Jenna Smith; 3 great-grandchildren: Zayden Robinson, Jayden Robinson, and Tatum Smith; other relatives and a host of friends.
