Glynda Denise Harris, 56, of Corinth, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Selmer, TN on April 30, 1959. Glynda possessed an indomitable spirit; her life was one of passion, exemplified both in overcoming any negatives which overtook her and in the love she poured out on others. Her selflessness was recognized with a Human Spirit award from her job because of her actions towards one in need. She was a rare soul who saw and told things as they were, but always managed to see the good and joy in the world around her. She herself was like one of the Angels she loved. No matter what the world threw at her she never lost her faith and her love for her family. A memorial gathering of family and friends celebrating Glynda's life will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Joshua Broadway . Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is caring for the family. Those left to honor Glynda's memory include her daughter: Julie Harris of Northport, AL; her sisters: Martha Baggett of Alamo, TN, Sharon Galimore of Corinth, MS and Laura Beau of Memphis, TN; the father of her child: Thomas Harris of Corinth, MS; her sister-in-law: Beverly Morgan of Corinth, MS; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lenard Alston; her parents: Abbott and Robbie Smith; her brother: William David Broadway and by her aunt: Jewel Robinson.
