George Bowden

A Celebration of Life Service for William George Thomas Bowden, 76 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, June 10, 2024 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel on 45 South with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens.  Bro. Trent Nethery will officiate the service.  Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 5:00 P M and 7:00 P M and Monday, June 10, 2024 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – South.  Mr. Bowden passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his residence.  He was born June 2, 1948 in Kossuth, MS to Thomas Eli Bowden and Mary Jewel Mitchell Bowden.  He was a hard worker, retired from World Color, but was always trying to find a way to make money.  He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  His favorite things to do included haggling people to make a dollar, spending time with his family and gossiping with his granddaughters.   George is survived by his children, Tonya Bennett, Bill Bowden (Catina) and Missy Stevens; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Bennett (Emmet), Harley Helms, Crystal Pratt (Richard), Dakota Sartain (Justin), Chris Welch, Jonathon Welch and Matthew Lindsey; his great-grandchildren, Harper Guy, Olivia Greenlee, Nolan Greenlee, Saydee Greenlee, Maddox Pratt, Braxton Pratt, Lillian Pratt, Delancy Sartain, Lilah Kate Sartain, Lincoln Sartain, Madli Sartain and Gavin Sartain; his brother, Jesse Bowden (Debbie); other relatives and a host of friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sissy Stevens; his parents, Thomas and Mary Bowden; his sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Delbert Willis and his son-in-law, Phil Bennett.  Pallbearers will be Bill Bowden, Richard Pratt, Emmet Guy, Braxton Pratt, Justin Sartain, Alan Bowden, Ricky Willis and Nolan Greenlee.  Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. William George Thomas Bowden.
