Occupation: He retired after 14 years from MS Public Service Commission where he served as Supervisor/Inspector.
Church: He was a long time member at Tate Baptist in Corinth, MS. where he served as a deacon and also served as deacon at First Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS.
Mr. Fields served as a Corinth City Alderman, Chancery Court Clerk and a Supervisor at ITT for 23 years.
He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955.
He was raised on a farm in the Fields Community of Alcorn County, MS. and graduated from Farmington High School in 1950. He then attended Northeast Jr. College for 2 years in Education and MS State for 1 ½ years in Education.
Leon was a huge Ole Miss fan.

Daughter: Lori Fields Edney and her husband Dr. Daniel Paul Edney of Vicksburg, MS.
Five Grandchildren: Joseph Fields, Christopher Fields, Daniel Edney, Meredith Edney Salmon (Jared) and Meg Edney
Sister: Margie Young of Corinth, MS.
NUMEROUS NIECES, NEPHEWS, OTHER RELATIVES AND A HOST OF FRIENDS
Pallbearers: Phil Young, Tim Young, Ricky Fields, Daniel Edney, Joseph Fields and Christopher Fields.
