Freddy Brooks Phillips, 72, of Corinth, MS, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Alcorn County, MS on September 26, 1947 to the late H. Brooks & Beatrice Talley Phillips and graduated from Kossuth High School. Freddy was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Those left to honor Freddy’s memory include his wife of 37 years: Sharon Phillips of Corinth; his children: Patti Bishop (David) of Corinth, John Phillips (Kelly) of Corinth, and Brooke Norris (Cory) of Selmer, TN; his grandchildren: Bradley Bishop (Lindsay), Brooks Bishop (Hannah), Lauren Phillips, Olivia Phillips, and Ella Norris; his great-grandchild: Griffin Bishop; his brother-in-law: Ray Church of Booneville; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: H. Brooks & Beatrice Talley Phillips, his brother: Jimmy Phillips, his sister-in-law: Sandra Church; and by his father and mother-in-law: James and Lois Reed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Magnolia Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 officiated by Bro. Charlie Cooper. A eulogy will be offered by Cedric Clark. Pallbearers include Bradley Bishop, Brooks Bishop, Mike Phillips, Bill Phillips, Jr., Jake Moreland, and Eddie Talley. Honorary pallbearers include Johnny Haynie, Danny Cox, Lanny Braudway, Roy Albright, and Buddy Ayers. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
