Franklin D. Kirkpatrick, of Corinth, MS, formerly of Bloomfield, MO, left this life and entered into the eternal presence of the Lord on June 8, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 27, 1932 in Sturdivant, MO to Benjamin and Zola Kirkpatrick. He grew up in farm country and learned about work ethic and patriotism at an early age. He attended High School in Bernie, MO, and then joined the Air Force in 1952 during the Korean War. He served basic training in San Antonio, Tx, and then spent the remainder of his four years of Honorable service in El Paso, TX. After his discharge from the military, he married Doris Chandler. His military training in maintenance became a life-long trade. An A-class industrial electrician, he retired from Purolator Corp in 1990. Franklin D. Kirkpatrick was born again of water and Sprit in 1988, a direct result of the testimony of his 1st wife, the mother of his children. His wife, Doris, passed away in 1989. On May 26, 1990, he married Goldie Walker McDonald Kirkpatrick. After Mr. Kirkpatrick’s retirement, they moved to Corinth, MS and became an important part of the growth and development of Calvary Apostolic Church. He served as a trustee and was instrumental in restoring the structural integrity to a decaying property. However, the greater legacy that he leaves at CAC is his love and stand for Biblical truth. Affectionately called Daddy Frank at CAC, he read the Bible completely through every year for at least 20 years in succession. He was known by his caregivers, therapists, and doctors that treated him as half of the “Happy Couple”. His infectious smile became a calling card and testimony of Christian living.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Zola Kirkpatrick; his first wife, Doris Chandler Kirkpatrick, and his brother, Eddie Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Goldie Kirkpatrick; three sons, Franklin D.
