Floyd E. "Bud" Moore Jr.

Floyd E. “Bud” Moore Jr., 80, of Corinth, MS passed away at Cornerstone Rehab and Healthcare on Friday, July 28, 2023. Born in Booneville, MS on October 1, 1942 to the late Floyd E. Moore Sr. & Dora Frances Smith Moore, Bud graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1965.  He retired after over 30 years with ITT/Cortelco, and was a member of First Methodist Church. Bud was an avid fisherman, loved golf, playing softball and coaching youth football at the YMCA.  He will forever be missed by his family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 2 pm till service time Monday, July 31^st at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. A graveside celebration of Bud’s life will be held at Magnolia Gardens at 3 pm, Monday, July 31, 2023, officiated by Rev. Kim Ratliff and Rev. Elizabeth West. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens.  Magnolia Funeral Home - South is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Bud’s memory include his wife of 58 years, Martha Austin Moore; his children, Mary Moore Jernigan (Martin), and Justin Moore (Trisha); his grandchildren, Jay (Lexie), Clare, Grace, and Bella; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Strickland. In lieu of flowers memorial contribututions may be made to Pine Vale Children's Home or your charity of choice.
