Floyd Brown, 85, of Glen, MS, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019 at StoneRidge of Farmington. He was born in Alcorn County, MS on November 12, 1933 to the late Marshall and Rosa Roy Brown and graduated from Farmington High School. Floyd was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed locally for many years with both Wurlitzer and World Color and was a longtime member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Floyd will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2019 and from Noon till service time Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Floyd’s life with military honors will be held at 1pm Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Elder Steve Leggett, Elder Cecil Woodruff and Pastor Nick Brown. Interment will be in Indian Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include Justin Harmon, Nick Brown, Corey Johnson Brown, Robin Harmon, Keith Hardwick and Kadin Dunn. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Floyd’s memory include his son: William Terry Brown and wife Brenda of Corinth; his daughters: Pamela Harmon and husband Robin of Corinth and Kimberly Hardwick and husband Keith of Burnsville; his grandchildren: Tanner Harmon, Justin Harmon (Sarah Dale), Nick Brown (Sharon), Corey Johnson Brown, Hillary Hardwick and Hannah Hardwick; his great grandchild: Alaila Jade Harmon; his brother-in-law: Charles South of Corinth; his sister-in-law: Ernestine Brown of Glen; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years: Faye Woodruff Brown; his brothers: Clifford Brown (Eddie Fay), Leonard Brown (Dorothy) and Sanford Brown; his sisters: Bonnie South, Bessie Gann (Bobby)and Bernice Hodum. The family would like to thank Stoneridge of Farmington, Dogwood Plantation, Magnolia Regional Health Center, Dr. Pratt and his staff, Kare in Home Hospice as well as Kindred Home Health for their faithful support and care of their dad during the last few years.
