Evelyn Talley

Evelyn Ricketts Talley, 75, of Cordova, TN, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, after a long illness. Mrs. Talley was born in Kossuth (Alcorn County), Mississippi, on January 14, 1938. She is a 1956 graduate of Kossuth High School. On June 23, 1956, she married Amos. A. Talley, also of Kossuth, MS. Mrs. Talley spent most of her adult life in Memphis. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, gospel music, interior decorating, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith. Evelyn Talley is preceded in death by her father George W. Ricketts; her mother Lillie Mae Mills Ricketts; sisters Bertha (Estes) Broughton, Inez Dallas, and Glenda Cicairos; her brothers Willard Ricketts and John H Ricketts; and her nephew Gary Ricketts. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Amos A. Talley; her son Jeffrey A. (Haley) Talley; grandchildren, Grace Ariel Talley and Gabriel Talley of Bartlett, TN; brother-in-laws Daniel (Cindy) Cicairos of San Jose, CA, and George H. Dallas of Collierville, TN; sister-in-law Sue Ricketts of Middleton, TN; nieces Amy (Jerry) Hatcher of Los Banos, CA, and Jeanene (Rudy) Rasmussen of Gilroy, CA; nephews Timothy (Denise) Broughton of Lakeland, TN, Ronald (Sara) Ricketts of Memphis, TN, Joe (Kathy) Ricketts of Middleton, TN, George L. (Pam) Dallas of Collierville, TN, Jon M. Cicairos of Morgan Hill, CA, and Mark (Cheri) Cicairos of Los Banos, CA. Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2013, from 5 pm to 8 pm, at Magnolia Funeral Home of Corinth, MS. and Saturday, July 20, 2013, 10:00 AM until service time. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 AM at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial following at Shiloh CP Cemetery. Jeff Talley and Charlie Browning will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Amy Hatcher, Jon Michael Cicairos, Brad Talley, Deryl Cossitt, Douglas Winfield, and Steve Shaw.
