Evelyn Big Momma Roberts

Evelyn D. "Big Momma" Roberts, 92, of Corinth, Mississippi, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at her residence. She was born on October 9, 1922 to James Walter and Nola Pearl Owens Dickey. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of East Corinth Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed helping others. Visitation is scheduled for 6 until 8:30 PM on Friday, May 29, 2015 and from 9:30 until service time on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Charlie Browning. Interment will follow in Vanderford Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Survivors include a son: James Dickey Roberts of Corinth, MS; a daughter: Sue Roberts Jones and husband Carl S. of Georgetown, TX; four grandchildren: Chip Richards, Shane Roberts, Kevin Roberts and Dustin Roberts; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years: Wilmer C. Roberts; her parents: James Walter and Nola Pearl Owens Dickey; a daughter-in-law: Patty F. Roberts; a brother: Earl Dickey; a sister: Elizabeth Letson and a grandson: Robin Peters.
