Etta Ann Hardin

A Celebration of Life service for Etta Ann Hardin, 80, of Baldwyn, MS for the last 8 years, will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel.  Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2022 from 1:00 PM until service time at the Magnolia Funeral Home – East.  Family Pastor John David Meeks and Bro. Stanley Huddleston will officiate the service with Doug Jumper delivering the eulogy, and Chet Barber making family comments.  Mrs. Hardin passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Baldwyn Nursing Home Hospice facility. 

She was born March 13, 1942 in Corinth, MS to Odell Barnett and Verdia Strickland Barnett.  She was a realtor in Corinth, MS for 37 years.  Twenty-five of those years were with Harvey Pendergrast Agency and 8 years with Jumper Realty.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Baldwyn, MS and was a former active member of the Corinth Elk Lodge. 

Ann loved cooking, eating fish, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She was a light to all who knew her and she loved her real estate career because she loved helping people. 

Ann is survived by her daughter, Tracy Barber and husband Greg; four grandchildren, Mae Barber, Chet Barber and wife Kenadi, Gracy Barber and Joel Barber; special caregiver and friend, Tarlyn Gates; nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ralph Hardin; her father, Odell Barnett; her mother, Verdia Strickland Barnett and her brother, Willard Barnett.  Honorary Pallbearers are all men who have been of special significance in Ann’s life, they are Doug Jumper, Michael McCreary, Harvey Pendergrast, Perry Talley, Gene Pigg and Trevelian Pratt.
