Services for Emily Kay Wilbanks, 67 of Corinth are set for Friday, June 21, 2019 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Friday, June 21, 2019 from 12:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Born July 10, 1951 in Greer, South Carolina, Kay passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at her home in Corinth. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of 1st Baptist Church of Corinth. Kay was a retired community service worker for Burnsville Headstart. She previously worked as a social worker for the Department of Human Resources in Alcorn Country, was a facility surveyor for the Medicaid Commission and a counselor of the Department of Rehab Services for the Blind in Jackson, MS., Carthage, MS. and Tupelo. Kay is survived by her husband of 32 years, Travis Wilbanks of Corinth; her sister, Cheryl Lynn Burnett Jones and husband John Paul of Whitesburg, GA; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Ben E. Burnett and mother, Dorothy Beckham Burnett. Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service. In Lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Corinth/Alcorn Animal Shelter. Magnolia Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Emily Kay Wilbanks.
