Elizabeth Ellen "Johnie" Merkle

A Celebration of Life for Elizabeth Ellen "Johnie" Merkle, 81 of Corinth, MS, will be held Monday, October 16, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Bro. Charles Stevenson will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mrs. Merkle passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 30, 1936 in Sparksville, Ky to Jimmy Janes and Ida Huddleston Janes. Johnie was a homemaker and attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Sylvester Merkle of Corinth, MS; her son, William Gary Snow Sr. and wife Deborah of Booneville, MS; her daughter, Tracy Aldridge of Corinth, MS; her three grandchildren, Jeffrey Aldridge, William G. Snow Jr. and Natalie Snow; her four great-grandchildren, Brody Snow, Quintin Grzesiak, Dylan Taylor and Isabella Snow; her two great-great-grandchildren, Silas Snow and Kinsley Grzesiak; her brothers, Dallas Janes of Chicago, IL and Michael Janes of Chicago, IL; her sister, Edna Trahan of St. Paul, MN; other family members and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her son, James Edward Merkle and her parents, Jimmy and Ida Huddleston Janes. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Elizabeth Ellen "Johnie" Merkle.
