“Mr. Jewel Parker, " 70, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, East, in Memphis, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with Bro. Alan Parker officiating the service. Burial will follow at Brigman Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. -- 8:00 P.M. at Magnolia Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Parker was on born on November 24, 1946, in Corinth, MS to his parents, W.R. Adam Parker and Mary McCalister Parker. He was the owner of Bailey Machine Works, a machine shop in Corinth. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended Victory Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Danny Robertson, Keith Hivley, Paul Jerkson, James Ray Cummings, Rusty Null, and Mike Broadway, and Honorary Pallbearers will be his Nephews. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Parker of Corinth; Mother, Mary Gaston McCalister Parker, of Corinth; Son, Shane Parker of Corinth; Daughter: Shea Parker Rushing (Matt) of Corinth, MS; Three Grandchildren: Bailey Rushing, Parker Rushing, and Savanna Parker; Brothers: Bill Parker of Corinth, MS; Jerry Parker (Cathy) of Warren Robbins, GA; and Steve Parker of Corinth, MS; Sisters: Martha Davis of Selmer, TN and Kathy Parton of Huntsville, AL; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, W. R. Adam Parker. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to care for the Parker Family. .
