Edward "Ed" Ray Taylor

Ed Taylor, 71 of Selmer, Tn, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. A Private family graveside service will be Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Mt. Vinson Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Haskell Sparks and Johnny Taylor will officiate the service. Mr. Taylor was born November 6, 1948 in Corinth, MS to John H. Taylor and Mattie Elzie Wilbanks Taylor. He was of the Baptist faith and was a parts manager at several parts stores. Ed is survived by his wife, Cathy Littlejohn Taylor of Selmer, TN; his sons, Shane Taylor (Beth) of Corinth, MS and Briley Taylor of Selmer, TN; his daughter, Amanda Taylor of Corinth, MS; 7 grandchildren, Abby Taylor, Jack Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Jessie Taylor, Chris Hurt, Hayleigh Hurt and Joshua Hurt; his sisters, Dorothy Emmons of Franklin, TN and Betty King (Larry) of Corinth, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Taylor; his father, John H. Taylor; his mother, Mattie Elzie Wilbanks Taylor and his brothers, Frank Taylor and Jimmy Taylor. Pallbearers will be Bryce Youngerman, Clay Maxwell, Miller Prince, Thomas Stevens, Tyler Dowty, Ben Moore, Cheston Whitten and Hunter Upright. Magnolia funeral home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Ed Taylor.
