A Celebration of Life service for Edna Ruth Bennett, 100 of Corinth, MS will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 2:00 P M at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church in Walnut, MS. Interment will follow at Community Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Walnut, MS. Bro. Jesse Cutrer and Bro. Gary Porterfield will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 10:30 A M until service time at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church. Mrs. Bennett passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Corinth, MS. She was born October 20, 1918 in Walnut, MS to Charlie Wilbanks and Lorena Lakey Wilbanks. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved gardening and riding around and site seeing. Edna is survived by her daughter, Irene Bennett Russell and husband Jerry of Walnut, MS; her granddaughter, Denise Russell Cox; her great-granddaughter,Harley Cox; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Young Bennett; her father Charlie Wilbanks, her mother Lorena Lakey Wilbanks and her brothers, Hugh Wilbanks (Sarah) Homie Wilbanks (Jenny Mae) R.V. Wilbanks (Beatrice) and Junior Wilbanks (Lela). Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wilbanks, Gerald Wilbanks, Corey Porterfield, Steve Kirkman, Justin Kirkman and Phillip Flake. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Hugh Wilbanks and Charles Wilbanks. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Edna Ruth Bennett.
