Funeral services for Evon Brawner Armstrong, 82 of Corinth are set for Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 3pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with interment in the church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 1pm-3pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Josh Westmoreland and Dr. Kara Blackard will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jameson Tennyson, Branson Tennyson, Nick Fowler, Chris Fowler, Zack Fowler, Jeff Brawner, Hunter Wilbanks and McCay Wilbanks. Born January 12, 1940 in Alcorn County, MS, Evon passed away on Sunday October 2, 2022 at her home. She retired as a secretary for Biggersville Elementary and was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Evon is survived by her husband of 62 years, Travis Armstrong; daughters, Paula Fowler (Adam) and Laura Tennyson (James); 7 grandchildren, Branson Tennyson, Callie Daily (Jon Mark), Jameson Tennyson, Nick Fowler, Chris Fowler, Zack Fowler and Kim Fowler; sister, Teresa Wilbanks; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Armstrong; father, Mody Brawner; mother, Aileen Wilson Brawner and brother, Jerry Brawner.
