Eddie Gurley

Eddie M. Gurley, 76, of Eads, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis, TN after an extended illness. He was born in Corinth, MS on August 11, 1940 to the late Vernon and Irene Brown Gurley. Eddie had lived in Eads, TN for 40 years and retired from Schering-Plough after 32 years of service. He loved golf, nature, woodworking and music. Visitation is scheduled for 1 pm till service time, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at 3 pm Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Ed Clement and Charlie Browning. A eulogy will be offered by Mauri Rassouli. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Eddie's memory include the love of his life, his daughter: Mauri Gurley Rassouli and husband Ryan of Carthage, NC; his granddaughters: Vera Love and Margot Swan; his sister: Sandra Gurley Barnett of Corinth, MS; his brothers: Jerry Gurley and wife Gayle, Joe Gurley and wife Teri all of Corinth, MS; his sister-in-law: Jane Gurley of Corinth, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother: Charles Gurley.
