Earlene Carter, 76, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center - Iuka. She was born in Corinth, MS on February 5, 1944 to the late Earl and Jewel Russell Jobe and graduated from Biggersville High School. She retired from Magnolia Regional Health Center in housekeeping and was a member of Greater Life Pentecostal Church. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Visitation is scheduled from 5-9 pm Tuesday, August 18, 2020 and from 10 am till service time Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Greater Life Pentecostal Church. A celebration of Earlene’s life will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Greater Life Pentecostal Church officiated by Bro. Tommy Callahan. The family encourages anyone to attend but understands those that choose not to due to the current pandemic. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Methodist Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Earlene’s memory include her son, Dewayne Carter and wife Pamela of Munford, AL; her daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Shear and husband Charles; her grandchildren, Christy Hylton, Timothy Gilliland, Sherri Harbin, Sabrina Wolf, Kimberly Perkins, Kaci Lund, Erin Shear, and Kaitlyn Shear; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great, great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Jane Mullins of Ripley, MS; her sister-in-law, Mary Watson of Corinth; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wayne Carter; and her sons, Timothy Carter and Kenneth Carter.
